I was totally against going to TeamCare because it was less coverage than what our old plan was.

A fellow driver's son was admitted into the ER needing an appendectomy recently and the teen stayed a few days in the hospital after surgery.

The only $ out of the driver's pocket was the gas he used to drive his boy to the ER. (So far the insurance paid for everything.)

The question is: will the coverage be diminished over time? We don't have that answer and maybe no one does but we were impressed with the emergency service coverage. Got to give an honest report. And like we said before...we had no idea that other locals were stuck in the C6 plan and maybe worse plans, not sure. Glad they got their plans bettered. Good deal.

Slinging unfounded trash at honest stewards and demeaning our brothers and sisters on here is entertaining at times but sure doesn't fix anything or point our union in a better direction imo.

I am glad to see that there are still strong locals around. There aren't a lot of blue collar job choices that pay a living wage in the USA today.

Your not a very skilled detective.....it's obvious that union leadership in all but one of the failed supplements are PRO HOffa and they polish his flute for him! YOU ARE A LOUSY DETECTIVE! My 3 year old daughter could have figured that one out!!
I'm very happy to not be a part of my locals leadership or fans of the lousy national leadership!!
Just like you roosters say .... "I make 100 grand" but no thanks to the SELLOUTS in office!!
I thank the late brother Ron Carey for everything I have!!
Hey Socrates hall negotiated the 97 contract. He was responsible for your best contract at ups. If you are smoking drugs put the phone down. Post when you aren't high.

Just because I don't agree with you that makes me a troll?? You not winning rooster!! Time to shine!
It's fine if we don't agree. I could care less. I won't change your mind nor you won't change mine either. You are just so freaking ignorant and you are a walking contradiction that it's a little weird. I could care less. As far as you being a troll anyone can see it in this forum. You are trolling. That's why you are in the mod quere.

You already lost. You might as well get yourself banned from this forum because everyone thinks you are trolling accept your only ally here on this forum. Oh as far as this being a pro clubs many forum that's a ridiculous statement. Another form of your ignorance. When you get yourself banned you should check me back as Einstein.

Wow brother. It takes a lot to post that. Your post went along way with me.

I have pretty big windows !!
I'm still thriving from Carey's contract come 18 years ago!! It's been all down hill since the famous politician took over!!
Hey rocket scientist. hall was the guy in 97. Do you smoke drugs????? Thanks to hall.
We got full time jobs galore in my building. I went full time a little while after that. Thanks to Mr Hall I live in a big ass house I had built. My wife stays home and raises our kids thanks to the money hall got for us. I owe Ken Freaking Hall big time. WE MAKE ALMOST 34buck an hour with better benefits than 95% of this great country. Because of a lifestyle like this I will fight till the end to keep him where he is and make him go farther. The difference between you and I is I go out and take what I need to to help my boys. I grind. You are a anonymous poster about to get banned from a 35,000 member forum that has about 200 regulars. I love that you are my opposition. It's easy to beat you.

If hall has the negotiating skills then what has been the excuse since the "best contract ever". I think even you roosters could admit it's been downhill since....
It's definitely not time to feel bad for the company for lack of profits!
What's the excuse for halls company friendly contract in the past decade???

Hall has a different boss now.
The biggest problem that I see is the majority of part time members don't vote (not including PA or L89 in that statement) and therefore they're stuck with a 4 yr progression into FT and are going to keep getting hosed until they pick up the pen, mark a square, and mail the free envelope in.
You can lead them to water....

Gotta tell the whole story. I'm glad many locals got bettered. I hope we all don't get negatively surprised down the road.

If a company can afford to waste money on poor dispatch every day they sure as heck can pay for top of the line bennies to keep our families healthy.

Had your co-workers son went to the emergency room and not had appendicitis and was sent home rather than being admitted, what would his out of pocket bill had been?

I too am glad that some of our brother and sisters now have better healthcare coverage because some of us had the fortitude to fight, but how long will it last and if it was possible from the beginning, why did we have to fight or own union to get it in the first place?

I see these facts and the deductible that starts in 2017 as a precursor of things to come.
It all comes unraveled, little by little, after next summers General Election if the status quo is maintained.

Not sure what the bill would've been. Depends in services. The situation ended up with a pleasant ending... financially.

I'm in total agreement on the rest of your post and the first healthcare offering (change to C6) was a ploy, as you posted the union was negotiating with us, using that plan but knowing full well that the enhancements were on the back burner.

The way this CBA was jambed down some locals throats was wrong.
But the coverage for the driver's son was a pleasant surprise.

I'll give you the answer....
If he was sent home you will be hit with a 20% bill when we were covered 100% previously!! FACTS!!
Nobody is happy with this plan who had the company plan!! Yes it's good insurance... The point is we LOST a lot !! WE GOT
NOTHING IN RETURN OTHER THAN LINIng THE POCKETS OF THE international with a Huge cash flow which will weaken the rank and file!!
You who never had the company plan can't speak on this!! YOU HAVE NO CLUE!!
Oh and make sure you make it to work or you will be dropped by the one punch rule!!

I'm assuming, you are talking about the difference between the C6 and "enhanced" version ?

And, how is voting down a proposal... fighting our own Union ?

For what reason was the C6 plan offered as a replacement for our far superior plan?

When a BA tells the members that if they didn't vote to ratify this CBA they were just "overpaid crybabies".
I would say that constitutes a battle right out the gate.
Why no change in art 17 except the IBT negotiators were offering it to us with the addition of "service, methods and safety" (in 17I of all things!); tried to pass it adding the MMI language in the Central Region and there were other discouraging changes.
We're not ignorant to collective bargaining give and take but the surepost language is a cluster from day one and that pathetic info is straight from one of the IBT guys who was in the surepost negotiations.

There's good reason for stewards to be aggravated and it's not just the vote no folks.

In a healthcare meeting I had a BA tell me "I wish I had the enhanced benefits that are being offered".

I told him that he was in luck because we were hiring at least an off the street driver and that he could apply. Suit up and let's go!

Of course there's a four year progression and no bennies for the first year.

All I got back was a dirty look.
