Me too. I made top rate in 30 days after getting seniority. It was $5.89.

I am. 32 full time years, all in package car.

The mind is starting to go but yes it was 1976. I started at $5.39 and got my 50 cent raise when I made my 30
days after seniority. Just so happy I had a good job with benefits. My parents were thrilled.

How did you get your own route after two months?

It was a route nobody wanted, I'm not on that route anymore. More or less on my retirement route now.

Don't remember the starting pay but top rate was only 6 months away after starting. Oh yea no shorts were allowed but thankfully I started after ups lifted the dress code of only wearing short sleeve shirts after a certain months of the year and long sleeves the rest of the year!
