Central states just got their lump sum. It should be good for about 30 years. The people in charge need to figure out a way to turn the losses around because in 30 years they’ll have the same issue.
Where there is a will.

Going this way no one will. Get those credits boyz/girls. Someone has to pay the price regardless of politics.

“The Republican Study Committee budget, put forward by House leaders, has called for Social Security's full retirement age to gradually go up until it is increased by three years. Based on their proposal, people born in 1978 or later would have a full retirement age of 70.”

Sorry, but I don’t care anymore.

Yep. This is their toxic attitude. Work until 70 at the same time life expectancy in the United States is declining. Better to do that than lift the ceiling on Social Security taxes for people making over $160,000!

It's bananas! Too many of our countrymen have been successfully deeply propagandized.

There are many ways to make SS solvent than to cut out widows and orphans.

Lol the ceiling has already been lifted 100% since 2000. In 20 years the max anyone could pay has went from 9K to 20k. This is what they’ve done to keep the Ponzi scheme going. I could retire with millions if I controlled my SS money. Instead I’ll get a couple thousand a month for 10 years or so.

It's a big scam.
If I made $50,000 a year and you made $100,000 a year you would pay twice as much as me but not getting twice as much social security
