OK Ricky, have it your way. Companies aren't interested in making money. They started their businesses so that they could lure unsuspecting innocents in to eff with their lives. They don't want you to be come as efficient and productive as possible. It's fun to see you stumble through your day and they give high fives all around when you hurt yourself on the job. Happy now?
were disposable workers. they make it as safe as they have to. they only care about $$$

i agree with you LOL.

opneeds says the burden lies with the employee who signed the contract, regardless of how ridiculous the contract may be. i disagree.
Yes Ricky, I understand, it's ridiculous, that unwritten contract between employer and employee that says he will pay you in exchange for work performed. Ludicrous! If life was fair he'd be forced to send you a check so that you can stay home and watch Bugs Bunny. Now that's a job!

employers can make contracts for whatever they like, but if it doesnt work out that way all the time, we have to ask why?

politicians make promises too and usually lie. why?

If you have a spelled out contract promising something the employer is legally bound by that. If you don't he isn't. Do your due diligence.

I mean, come on.

Just because the employer and employee have a 'contract' doesn't mean the employer has free reign to kick the employee's head in.

It's not about sitting home and getting something for nothing, it's about going to work and not getting your d kicked in. It's about dignity in work...(Ricky has pointed out that he has none, and he's proud of it...)

Look at UPS - Union gig, and we still get our d's kicked in. Imagine if UPS wasn't Unionized...

According to Ricky companies want to hurt employees and have them fail as employees. Do you think UPS wants you to do a lousy job? They want productivity. They want you to help them make money. You didn't read the whole thread did you? Hmmm, sounds like what you said on another thread.

Australia not in good place, crashing real estate, crashing stock market, anaemic wages, too high debt, 1950s politics, manufacturing left to fall apart, biggest customer in trade war, squandered opportunities, failure to plan for future, heads in sand. Now the reckoning! #auspol
