Hey @rickyb , ya heard the news about comrade Carlos Maza? Advocating for communism while secretly living a life of obscene luxury paid for by his ultra rich tech parents? HAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAA

How’s your own lifestyle up there in Canada?

Report: 'Marxist pig' Carlos Maza linked to luxury yacht, $11M mansion, and 'chic' NYC apartment

“Carlos Maza, a millennial political commentator who goes by the Twitter handle @gaywonk, spends much of his time on social media attacking wealth and smearing rich people, but an investigation by the New York Post found that the self-described "Marxist pig" lives a life of immense luxury.”

“According to the Post, Maza — who in February shared a photo of himself with his hand over his heart and "Sorry grandma, we're communists now" written around him — "is connected to multiple Florida mega-mansions, a $7.1 million pad on the Upper West Side purchased under an LLC — and a yacht by luxury maker boat-maker Donzi.

In fact, when Maza registered to vote, he listed his family's five-bedroom, eight-bathroom waterfront mansion in Boca Raton, Florida, worth $11.7 million as his home address.”

ive never heard of him, which is a good thing in my books.

yes there are socialist hypocrites, just like there are religious hypocrites, government hypocrites, and capitalist hypocrites.

He's admitted the story is correct:

Carlos Maza on Twitter
ok so i skimmed through what he said on twitter and the post story.

im in a similar situation, not nearly as wealthy has him, but my parents are millionaires a few times over. i work 40 hours a week when i cant escape early or am not on LOA. i dont see the problem criticizing an unjust system whether you are rich or poor. i want something where people are happy for the long term, and something that works.

but maybe carlos needs to sacrifice more. or maybe his work is his sacrifice.

as an american, why the :censored2: would you donate what ever meager vacation you get at whole foods to another employee?

whole foods should be giving everyone more vacation than the greatest vacation countries in the world like france:

Haven't been able to stop thinking about this. A US pharma company with a potential COVID-19 vaccine is in court trying to PREVENT China from getting it bc they're worried China will DISTRIBUTE IT TO THE WORLD FOR FREE

US pharma company Gilead, which owns the most promising COVID-19 vaccine, is booming in "pandemic stock sales," preparing to sell it for $50-100/person, and in a legal battle to deny the Chinese gov access, because China would make the vaccine free and ship it to the global south Bernie Sanders on Twitter

If you’re about to think “Oh no, I might not be able to get this or that at the grocery store,” take a moment to consider how US sanctions have effected people in Cuba, Iran & Venezuela. Millions of people for whom life has been made so hard. These are ways we can grow from this.

coronavirus makes the impossible status quo under capitalism suddenly possible

suddenly people arent getting evicted, being charged for student loans, speed throttling on internet is gone, water is not being turned off, etc:

America Is a Sham
