Regardless of being unarmed, they committed a coup. Sri Lanka doing the same and they have no guns.
They're getting violent in Sri Lanka and those crowds are much, much larger. That happens when your government institutes green climate policies that leaves the whole country with very little fuel and serious food shortages. How anybody can think the riot on J6 could overthrow the government of the most powerful country on Earth is beyond me. All of this is political theater designed to try and keep Trump from being reelected.

How am I wrong you had people attempt a coup over him losing. That some random article you posted. Republicans openly say they want trump back.
They showed up because they believed the election was stolen. Four years of the Dems screwing with Trump and telling lies tends to make his supporters believe that. Thing that never ceases to amaze me about Dems is they can support riots all over the country, can picket the homes of Supreme Court justices, which is illegal, can file phony impeachment proceedings, can turn a blind eye to blatant corruption of their top officials, put the country through 2 years of a phony Russian collusion investigation (which the instigators of will probably never be held accountable) and act like none of that is a big deal. Let a bunch of Trump supporters act out, and Democracy as we know it almost ended according to them. With even the president characterizing all Trump supporters as White Supremacists and the greatest threat to the country. Not Muslim extremism, not the rise of China, but white people who support Trump. Please run with that in the midterms. People care so much more about that than their pocketbooks.

The same guy who locked the country down. told millions of people they were not essential bullied the FDA to give emergency use approval to an untested vaccine, gave emergency powers to governors everywhere and they pretended like he didn’t know why they were doing what they did, handed out PPP loans in the biggest theft in history? Gave emergency powers to governors? Those powers rested with the governors, not the Federal government. Who did he tell wasn't essential? But he didn't do everything right as you pointed out. I never expected him to walk on water either.

What I'm implying is while in office they brokered soft landings with foreign countries they had no access to while private citizens. The hedge funds did not exist until leaving office. They worked these countries for personal gain. Peace agreements, weapons sales and financial protections all come with a price tag. Not specific to any party or time period, just the cost of doing business.

Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump made $640 million while “working” in daddy Trump’s administration, and after leaving the White House, Kushner got $2 billion from Saudi Crown Prince MBS for covering up Jamal Khashoggi’s murder. That is what corruption looks like. Not some laptop.
