Retired 2020. Not my Problem Anymore!
If the grid goes down it doesn’t matter because the battery is charged as you drive it. If the battery goes bad I just have to get a new one. Just like if the motor goes bad I have to get a new one. It has 110,000 miles on it so far no problems.
