Infrastructure Plan big win for Fedex

Sorry not sorry the truth of my experiences doesn't match the contrived, canned tripe you try to feed me.

I have no pity for those who's bad choices come at my expense.

Maybe if they didn't reproduce with such frequency, without considering their resources, they wouldn't be in the circumstances they're in.

They screw like there is absolutely no other thing on this entire planet to do.

I reject that allegation. And it's clear you are were unable to grasp the nuance of humor.

Yes.

Neither.

The fact that RWL's are completely insulated (for now) from the negative effects of the toxic laws and policies they create, enable and endorse.

The fact that these policies have driven away local industries and businesses that trained their own workers, and paid living wages. And replaced those jobs with minimum wage, part time hospitality and service jobs in order to support banal, hackneyed tourist traps. Think Country-Bear Jamboree from Disneyland. Everywhere. All day long.

The fact that RWL's and their immigrant entourage have transformed my area into an unrecognizable, gentrified, stratified, hobo infested, over crowded, traffic jammed Hell hole.

The fact that these RWL's bus in and transport their own imported labor (go ahead and guess from where) and building materials from other areas. Which leaves the local people competing for housing, and the local businesses and construction companies disconnected and completely left out of any of the so-called prosperity they claim to be creating. In a nutshell: if you are a local they will NOT hire or buy from you.

I am a native and life-long resident of California.
I have lived, seen, and suffered the negative effects of what concentrated liberal policies have done.
Therefore, I am very qualified to assess them.
You are from, as you call it, the "Jing Weeds."
Maybe you should stay in your lane.
The service, entertainment and leisure industries you speak of are now the norm nationwide in nearly every state. The US stopped being a manufacturing economy in the 1980's. Mighty GE has gone from 289,000 employees to less than 70,000 here in the US while collecting 2.2 billion dollars in direct publicly funded grants and aide. GM ,Ford and the other manufacturing giants in whom you take such comfort are a fraction of what they once were. Travel, service, entertainment, tourism have tried as best it could to replace heavy industry . They don't pay as good nor do they employ thousands at one location like heavy industry once did.

As for the RWL's and their Mexican labor force, Texas is the same thing. You've got two types of people living there. Rich Texas oilmen and their Mexican gardeners...Now if you think that one of these RWL's are in violation of US immigration and labor law.....File notification with federal authorities rather just batch about it.... That's if you've got the courage to do so.

And just what do you propose as a solution to what you believe to be a clear and present danger to the nation?

There’s not a lot of difference in the Republican Party and the democrat party, outside of social issues. Trump increased the National debt just under 8T. We’ll see about the same from Biden. The Democrats say tax and spend while the Republicans say don’t tax just spend. Until we drastically cut SS/Medicare, defense spending, and raise taxes we’re Ducked.
Mandated spending comprises around 70% of the US budget much of the rest discretionary spending which was already cut to nearly nothing when he got himself elected on the promise of a tax cut in order to pay back his donors.
Social Security 2100 is starting to gain some traction as the timeline to do something grows shorter.
As for Medicare Paul Ryan's plan to so called "save" Medicare was such an obvious scam that he ended up getting himself run clean out of politics.

Was it necessary just to attempt to turn a red state blue?
The allocation was based on a formula agreed to prior to the bill's passage. Rest assured the Texas congressional delegation made every effort to make certain that they weren't left out grabbing every dime they think they can get despite making it clear that the entire Texas GOP congressional delegation was going to vote against the bill.
It called having it both ways. Publicly demonizing the Dems and their infrastructure agenda because it looks good in front of their constituents but quietly looking for the most benefit they can get for them from the bill.

There's going to be a lot of hammer's swinging once the infrastructure bill starts letting the bids out for long overdue repairs and upgrades and no doubt there will be some job bids awarded in the very same congressional districts held by GOP congressional members who voted against the bill...But of course they'll be right out front with shovels and grinning like possums for the photo op marking the project's beginning.
Right on cue, "There's a GOP guy somewhere who did something, so there!"

Imagine how much good we could have done if Democrats actually passed an infrastructure bill, rather than that wasteful trash bill filled with crap no one wants.
I thought Obama did all of this already. That's what we were told most everything from 2009 through 2013 was supposed to do.

Senate vote was 69-30. If a pot hole bent your car rim...you'd be hollering. If an old pole broke off and knocked out your power...you'd be hollering.
If the sanitary sewer backed crapped up into your basement...you'd be hollering.
If a rusted old water main broke off and you had no water...you'd be hollering.
If your flight is stalled on the runway because the old ATC network went down...You'd be hollering.

We simply went on for as long as possible without a major commitment to repair and upgrading of the public services you've taken for granted all your life.... And if faced with a loss of those services for longer than a span measured in minutes, you would be at a complete loss as to what to do.
As though society is on the brink of collapse.

Due to the sheer numbers, and that California is a "sanctuary state" I do not believe that would be effective.

Simple: enforce immigration laws.

Do not admit immigrants who's occupation or skills are not in demand. If the Bureau of Labor sez there are alot of unemployed widget specialists, do not import MORE widget specialists.

Severely restrict the import of unskilled labor. Once upon a time, this is how teenagers and young adults got into the workforce. An unskilled 18yo could start at the bottom of an occupation and through time build a career in a vocation, skill, craft, or trade.

Due to excessive immigration, once respectable and prosperous occupations are now the province of the working-poor.

When every job available to young adults is a dead-end, part-time, minimum-wage crap-job, It's no surprise that so many young adults don't bother anymore. Because employers know that an immigrant with a green card or a work visa is always available and will do the job for less.

Stop importing more labor when there are plenty of unemployed citizens.

Funny, you never said a word about the huge amount of unskilled labor positions that have and will continue to be eliminated by IT, AI and robotic technology. So I think what is really grinding your grits can be found in the US public education system. What has been mentioned many times is the skills gap which is expected to get worse. Either you learn how to run technology or it runs you. Then again if as you say there's an oversupply of unskilled labor then why are wages rising? Furthermore you fail to take into consideration the dramatically slowing US birthrate. The lowest since 1930.

He was too busy trying to pull that nation out of the Bush Recession. The worst in 80 years. Not an easy task when you're a minority president 6 of the 8 years you're in office.

110B......Roads and bridges.
39B.... Public transit. Repair 24,000 out of service buses ,5000 rail cars . Thousands of miles of track.
66B.... Improve rail service.
7.5B... Charging stations.
5.0B... Electric buses
65B.... Expanded Broadband
65B ... Improvements and upgrades to power grid. It's about time. I worked on powerline right of ways. The grid is in very bad shape.
55B.... Water and sewage
17B.... Ports
115B... Airports
300B... Federal Highway Trust Fund.
90B... Emergency repairs as they happen.

This is a summary of what's in the bill. Now just exactly what in your opinion is "wasteful trash"?

Incorrect, yours is cartoonish AND ignorant.

Mine is simply an astute observation.

Which is why it triggered you.

Carry on.
Since your judgement is so much superior to mine then answer the question . Just exactly what is in the infrastructure bill is in your keen judgement "wasteful trash'?
