Its really sad that you couch analysis are so devoid of facts, despite watching fox news all day long in your golden years, and yet, really dont understand what has happened in our economy.

The fact is you don't give credit where credit is due.

Baba, Moreluck and Tos are all asking valid questions. How many of the jobs are minimum wage, how many are part-time? The government's numbers don't report these things.

If you can prove your point don't ask vague questions, post the facts... otherwise it's just conjecture.

Illinois’ sluggish jobs recovery is coming at a tremendous cost. For every post-recession job created in Illinois, nearly two people have enrolled in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, commonly known as food stamps.

In the recession era, the number of Illinoisans dependent on food stamps has risen by 745,000. Without adequate job creation in the state, Illinois families have had no choice but to depend upon food stamps to put bread on the table.

The Prairie State has had the worst recovery from the Great Recession of any state in the U.S. There are nearly 300,000 fewer Illinoisans working today than in January 2008, and 170,000 fewer payroll jobs.

There are now over 2 million Illinoisans dependent on food stamps, and more than 1 million in Cook County alone. That means that one in five residents of Cook County depend on food stamps just to get by.

What do you think happens to american workers after a great recession second only to the great depression??

Did you expect these numbers to be any different??

If u are not alive than for sure truth is not real
The fed will do the job, so why should Obama? The fed has to continue hyper trickle down much longer than expected.
The problem with what you'r suggesting is that don't factor in the fed.Employers are getting squeed by usury and by inflation. The minimum wage is transfer of wealth from the productive sector on to the financial sector as employers are stuck coping with the inflation caused by the fed.

oldngray

nowhere special
There is almost no inflation now. Stagnant growth. If you believe in inflation invest all of your money in CD's to get that great fixed return on the interest rate.

Census Bureau: Noncitizen income rose 15 times faster than income of native U.S. workers in 2013

The U.S. Census Bureau reported Tuesday that household income for noncitizens working in the United States rose 6.0 percent between 2012 and 2013, 15 times more than the paltry 0.4 percent increase for households led by native-born U.S. workers.

Census said income households led by foreign-born workers, which includes noncitizens and naturalized citizens, rose 1.7 percent over the same period of time. That’s still about four times higher than the 0.4 percent increase for native born workers.

What do you think those numbers would have been, if BUSH had taken us into a full blown depression?

Still living within your fantasy life .
Just in case you never got the memo ; we are not in a recession , nor are we in a recovery .
So that only leaves ( drum roll please ) a depression .

Wasn't it you, or another member of the TROLL PATROL that said the president is only a figurehead, with little REAL power?

You can't have it both ways.

Funny how you get owned, then you resort to turning the conversation completely around into something else?

You cant have it both ways. You cant say the president has done nothing for this country, then ignore all the economic facts because you hoped this president failed.

Sorry bro, your aguments are the only thing failing.
