We extended the strike line during the overnight, strike to follow overnight trucks making deliveries.

For the first 2 or 3 days there were still a few packages left in the system that management would take out for delivery. We would follow them around and accidently block their trucks in or just plain harass them. Just petty stuff but it was something to do for the guys who didn't feel like day drinking back at picket headquarters.

When I almost got ran over, it was on like donkey Kong, and the driver became a giant pusillanimous and called the cops.

I agree, but even if they "asked" it looks like good progress.
They gave a counter proposal and asked to continue negotiating. Sounds like they are willing to come up even more, just depends on how mush SOB wants.
