If I remember right, queer time has been going on for years. I don't know the range of acceptance or how many members were lost because of the change in position.

Similar but probably on a lesser scale is what happened with United Methodists (which used to be a very fundamental church) and the more liberal Lutheran Synods.

Humanity has come up with lots of different religious fairytales. The Christian fairytale doesn’t hold majority over people in every country. Other religious customs and beliefs are much more represented.
Homosexuality and transgender people are a global phenomenon that has been recorded since recording began. You can’t say the same for the Christian fairytale.

Southern Baptists are starting to but hasn't gone that far yet. There has been a liberal faction moving in but most members don't agree with them.
It always seems to be a problem with the leadership when things like this happen.

Correct we are born into sin. It’s difficult to remove yourself from sin and ask for forgiveness and some people just give up trying and call it normal. It’s easier that way it makes you feel better…. until it doesn’t.

I am now a Southern Baptist but was raised United Methodist (when it was a lot different than what it has become), became a Lutheran when I got married but grew dissatisfied with some of their beliefs and after investigating several other churches decided on Southern Baptist. One of my sisters is also Episcopalian so I am very familiar with those churches.
