LNG will not burn or explode. Has to turn back into a gas to burn.
I'm guessing leaking LNG turns explosive much faster than you can safely escape from it.
What is the flash point of LNG?

Heard fuel goes in at -229 degrees. Have to wear special suit while fueling. Not the job to have in the summer. If you fuel your own tractor I think those days will be gone.
"We're sorry for your husbands death, here's a $10,000 check that we think is adequate settlement for your husband's unfortunate being blown to hell. We didn't know LNG would react in this manner"
This is not cutting edge technology. The world has been transporting LNG on ships for years. The unknown is always a scary place. Ask any 5 year old.
Not every UPS employee works in Oklahoma City. The problem is there's quite a few people at UPS with the mental capacity of 5 year olds. It only takes the indiscretion of one...
I don't think it would be any more dangerous than refueling an airplane , a tractor, or package car. I've watched a local municipality refueling some of their trucks with LNG. If those guys are doing it, anybody can do it, but like you said, with the right training. When I was in the Air Force part of my job was dealing with LOX (Liquified Oxygen). There was special training involved but once trained it was no big deal to work with. The same would apply to LNG.
