Local 804 Drivers Walked Out

After Hoffa and the IBT caved in on YRC, it was revealed how much their CEO was paid. Some ridiculous amount of course in the millions.

When UPS kicked our azzes after making well over $4.4 billion in the worse contract to date in UPS Teamster history, the company celebrated that Hoffa and Hall sold out and kicked the crap out of the members.

I've asked once before. Hoffa Jr., hall and the IBT either sold us out or they are just plain out incompetent to have accepted such bad deal? So take your pick.

How is it that UPS made more money than in previous contract, and we got a worse deal than the previous contract. Damn, I didn't like the previous contract but it was better than this garbage they are trying to ram up our rectums today.

Hoffa and Hall didn't cave on YRC. TDU is majorly misinforming you.

You TDU people crack me up with the same thing as always, UPS made $4 billion, this is the worst contract ever, Hoffa and Hall sold us out, we're getting screwed.

There is one cold, hard fact that is indisputable about TDU.
If the IBT was doing a decent job in the eyes of their members for any significant period of time, TDU would go by the wayside like APWA did.
Instead, the opposite is happening and the IBT hard liners are feeling the warm breath of TDU on the back of their necks and are obviously nervous.
I am not a member and am not a privy to the numbers, but am willing to bet their new memberships are way up.
In my mind, the reform that TDU preaches, is better than the rumblings of decertification that I am starting to hear around my state.
That, in my mind, would be a huge, irreparable mistake.
One way or another, we need to wake up and take our union back.
It's an organization to make money plain and simple. If there were no problems do you think they would just go away?? Nope the will manufacture problems because it's their job and they get paid for it.

You are hopelessly ignorant. TDU is in this for the membership.

Take about ignorant. Your comments are ridiculously ignorant and the reality is you TDU kids have never answered the question of what solutions to problems have they ever had. They and you only try to tear down the union. Way to go TDU. What they don't realize is when they destroy the union they are out of business also.

If only that were what was going on.

I know a lot more about YRC than you. I have several friends that work there not just one. HE has the right to go look for another job. One where isn't going to make the same amount of money, that has no healthcare (what fund is he in that he has to pay for healthcare), no pension, no vacations, no holidays, no seniority. He is still working there for a reason.
You guys crack me up, like Only union jobs offer these, jobs with benefits and stuff...

Did you ever find anything positive that tdu ever said about the international or anything they have ever done 804brown????
Yes, but you will have to go back to the years 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997!! Probably about Ron Carey putting into trusteeship over 80 corrupt locals or when he got rid of the wasteful Conferences or the multiple salaries. I bet they cheered when he sold the jet planes and the condos. Or maybe when he cut his own salary. Possibly even during the successful strike against UPS in 1997!! Since 1998, we havent had much to cheer about. How can you cheer about timid leadership ?? The Hoffa years can be described as "Talk tough but be complacent". TDU cheers individual locals that stand up for their members and stand up to management.

Yes. They weighed in on the Consent Decree and gave us all the opportunity to vote for our General President. In doing so, they helped rid our Union of people like Matthew "Matty The Horse" Ianello, Anthony "Tony Pro" Provanzano and many other similarly nicknamed characters who brought discredit to a Union that had made a difference in the lives of working men and women throughout our country.

Ron Cary wanted the government out of this Union he thought it is a big waste of the members money!
I think you just pay dues.

Nothing good has come out of the international since Carey? That's a joke and you know it.
