What do you think of Liam?
He is probably our most knowledgeable union official. He is methodical and thinks before he does ANYTHING. He wouldn't jeopardize his members and knows our contract quite well. He is aware of Art 18 sec 4 a and felt ups violated the contract and walked someone out for a non Cardinal sin for the last time. He took action that his members had wanted to see for a long time.

Don't you think there were still other games to play instead of the wildcat?
We can stand back and throw stones as long as we want to.
The jury's still out on that whole deal.

But, IMO, like I said before, these drivers were fed up with the treatment of their coworkers and themselves. The stage was set for something to erupt and it did.
They followed that BA because they respected him for all he's done for them in the past. He had credibility. They were hacked off. It happened.

Cant go back.

But, I hope, the City of NY swings the outcome to an amicable settlement or there's going to be loss for both sides.

Money talks. People better listen.

How's the moral in your building? Are the members behind him?

The city will have zero impact on how this plays out.

I wouldn't underestimate the impact the impact that the City of New York can have on how this plays out. $15 million annually in waived traffics alone can get a lot of attention in Atlanta. To put it in perspective, UpstateNYUPSer, $15 million may represent the combined annual budgets of Albany, Syracuse, Rochester, Buffalo and Binghamton.

Everyone needs to take a break....

From all the emotionalism, involved in this situation.

How about, a little humor.

This is what "some" members expect of the IBT.

Some members have a "different" expectation....

Some, might have sweet memories of years gone by....

Just because.... there isn't immediate social "interaction" from the IBT....

Doesn't mean.... they are not involved.

Pfft.... Kids.

I hope the whole state jumps on board if they give similar financial breaks to the company. Get the party started.
