Wow. That's cool. You just named what-his-name. Is he growing on you? Are you getting nervous? Has her bridezilla tendencies calmed down?

A little.

I joke but James is a fine young man whom I will be proud to call my son-in-law.

I am getting nervous, not so much about the wedding, but the fact that I will be the only one on my side of the family there. I am worried that I will be a stranger at my own daughter's wedding and wonder how many times I will get "the look" this weekend.

Nothing meaningless about that.

Seems kinda personal, and I wouldn't normally ask......but you brought it up!

Why are you the only one on your side? Your son isn't even going to his sisters wedding?

No need to answer if it's too personal, believe me I understand.

Forgot about him--he is in the bridal party. I was talking about my brothers.

Weddings, graduations etc. If you are invited and don't go I believe you should still send a gift. I just found out many people feel differently.

"Oh, you're not coming??" One less mouth to feed....But it'll cost you a gift to make you feel less guilty about not coming. Make it a card with money or a gift card in it. Sending a card is always easier than being around all those schmoozy people. (you can't choose your family)

5 hour open bar--what could go wrong?:wink2:

July 2, 2003

It was a weeknight.
I married on a boat and the bar was open.

The guest list was limited by the size of the vessel!!
54 guests and no "looks" from anyone!!

My first and only wedding. This is his second chance at marriage.

Except, every year, the contract needs to be renegotiated....my rules!!!

what suxs ... the NFL season is not an automatic this year.

After all, how do you think I have a guy willing to take me to away NFL games?
He tolerates my addictive need for the NFL.

It is all in the contract!!! That is why they call it a Union!!
