Big community garage sale tomorrow really early until noon. I have a ton of stuff. We usually make a couple hundred. I cleared out kitchen cupboards like crazy....how many coffee mugs do 2 people really need ??

Lots of party throwing stuff and I don't throw parties. I have people over for dinner sometimes. Went through all of our Christmas stuff and being that it's approaching Christmas season, I think I'll sell all that I put out.

This is a regular May and Sept. event. Twice a year to pare down your stuff and make a few bucks. I don't mind cloudy & cool, but no rain please! All 17 neighborhoods of Talega participate.

If you have any hall pottery or fiestaware, send it to me with the bill!!

Or any shiny bright Christmas bulbs with snow on them.
Whod think I would collect that kinda stuff?

I feel the need to show you how much of a buddy* this neighbor really is.

One of the CC&R's (because it's a 55+ community) states that children under 18 can't live with you. Children can visit you like friends and grandkids, but not for longer than 60 days a year. I'm not sure who keeps track of that and how they would do it.

Any way, the neighbor in question had one friend at the end of the cul de sac who was having her disabled grandson stay the summer with her. I never even saw the kid......I think he was wheelchair bound. On the 61st day of his visit with grandma, the bitch wrote an e-mail to the association reporting her for breaking the rule. This woman was keeping tabs on her calendar. Needless to say she no longer has a friend on our 18 homes cul de sac street.

I really hate people like this. They are just plain mean. Proof to me that satan is alive and well and lives in my hood!!

Don't worry about it , Karma has a very long memory!

I would come but I'm driving to Milwaukee, hopping on the Amtrak to Chicago, meeting 10 guys at the saloon at 11am and heading to Soldier Field to watch Wisconsin dismantle a patsy known as Northwern Illionois. Then maybe I'll go to Navy Pier and then maybe some shopping on The Magnificent Mile. Or not!

Today is my son-in-law James' birthday. I am driving down tomorrow to visit them but will be back in time to watch the Patriots beat the Chargers (4:15pm game).

I also bought myself a present--a Keurig coffee maker.

Make sure you check out Kenoza coffee. I like them because they ship UPS, and the price is good if you buy enough to get the free shipping ($60, I think).

The Keurig that I bought was a refurbished one so it did not come with any K-cups. I bought a box at Dunkin Donuts yesterday--$12 for 14. I like drinking both regular and decaf but am too cheap to keep both in the house. Now I can drink whatever I want whenever I want.

Make sure you follow the mfg. cleaning suggestions....................or you'll be cussing the Keurig out one morning. This is especially true if you have soft water.

I got the one on the left.
