Oh, look what I found... And it's the 2nd one in 3 years...

From one hockey fan to another, LA still has 3 more to go just to tie Chicago. Just saying.

One of my biggest complaints about the community center here is the expensive prices for events. Like $65 a person for a party because it includes all the champagne you can drink.

We don't drink. I resent having to pay for others. Shouldn't there be a reduced price for people who don't want any booze ?
After 11 years, things are backfiring a bit. Turns out there's a question about liquor license and using caterers who don't have one.
I haven't said a word.....we just don't go to any activities at the rec. center.....we leave all those activities to the boozers. If anyone ever asks , "Why don't you come to any parties?" My usual answer is that I want to meet people as they really are, not soused!!
There's no solution yet. I'm curious to see where this goes.

In the meantime, there's private residences to go to where you can drink with those who drink also. There's a wine club too.

I would think a simple solution would be two different colored wrist bands, one for those want to drink and the other for those who don't, with the price reduced for those who don't want to drink.

Exactly!

I always think of the example where a bunch goes to lunch. Everyone but you has several drinks and when the bill comes, they want to split the bill evenly. No way!!
Here's the $ to cover what I had and part of the tip. It's not being cheap, it's being fair.

I kind of like watching soused people. They're always good for a laugh. Lol.

Me too. I sometime take it a little further and start a conversation that I know will cause a dispute----then walk away. It makes life interesting.

More classy females who have wasted too much of their lives watching shows like Jersey Shore and the like. Instead of learning how NOT to act, they probably thought it was cool. Sighhhh.
