I would much rather it happen at the 2nd stop than 2nd to last stop. That way mgmt has all day to get you help.
This is ups, miss needs; there was no help. I transferred all that crap over to an empty truck, and ran the route.
Don't you just hate it when your truck breaks down for an hour and forty minutes?
It never failed---it always happened on a Friday or some day you were hoping to get off a little early. Here's how it played out in my center. Call center to report your broke down (sometimes you lucked out and there was actually someone there to answer the phone). Center would call the wrecker company. They would drive to center and hook up a spare package car (usually the biggest POS in the center) and drag it to you. You then got to switch your load to the other truck and continue your day. Usually took all of 2 hours for all this to happen. No--they didn't send someone to take stuff off you to make up for the delay.
