Here in New England it's been about minus 300 friend. and promises to stay there. I have a good pair of boots, but can anyone please recommend some insoles I can use to warm and insulate my feet?

Not an insole, but try sprinkling some red pepper into your socks before you put them on. Sounds corny, but it works.

Actually there are heated insoles....ThermaCell Heated insoles. And yes the Red pepper works too. Cayenne/ red pepper causes the blood vessels under the skin of the feet to dilate, thus stimulating extra blood flow and providing warmth to the feet. My boss states that walking faster helps...lol.

Ahhh, fresh meat. Another sock thread...

Whatever you do, do not buy the blue rubber soles. Go with the soft soles, they work best and keep your feet warm I guess.

I started riding a fat bike this winter and a couple of the people I ride with, swear by these: http://45nrth.com/products/footwear/jaztronaut

I wear a pair of thin liner socks and have different weights of wool and smart wool socks that I wear depending on the temps. Since adding a liner sock, I have found that a 400 gr Thinsulate boot is generally warm enough.

When it is blizzarding out, I do like to add gators like these: http://45nrth.com/products/footwear/bergraven

Warmest thing I've ever warn is 10 inch rubber 5 buckle boots over Nikes. Simple and.effective.
