Do you need an air compressor or tire gauge
Management's number won't come up much. Your probably right, but these guys are not going to accept management's crap numbers

It will be a strike, and I think UPS will see that doordashers are not going to have the stomach to cross
They will cross, they don't care

It will be a strike, and I think UPS will see that doordashers are not going to have the stomach to cross in the numbers they would need them to. Plus how do they plan to move the feeders? There is not that much spare capacity out there
Handshake NLT 7/15, current contract extended, back pay two weeks after ratification.

It's not that they care.. its unpleasant, it's not easy to walk or drive past a hundred people yelling at you.

Sure people will do it more than once but UPS will have to pay them a lot to make it worthwhile

Quite a few of the older generations make fun of gen z and millennials for being soft but now they are going to have the fortitude to cross hostile picket lines enmass? For a job many of them don't want?

How many doordashers with civics will they need? Not many independent truckers left to move the feeders and why would they drop their current obligations? Unless UPS makes it really sweet.

Same for trucking companies. Why are they going to stop hauling another companies loads to move UPS crap into a hostile strike. A lot of their drivers will not want to listen to the crap and non union companies don't exactly want to expose their employees to unions, you donr think some smart BAs or organizers would try to talk to those guys

Won't matter as the Company will lock you guys out.

Back in '97 we had a supervisor who had been a driver for 15 years. On the first day he came out to the picket line and basically told us not to cross. The next day they locked us out so it would have been a moot point.

We did have a couple of PTers who took advantage of the strike to verbally air their personal grievances with management. Both were gone within the next month or so after the strike ended.

I am not even a driver and I just wanted to comment to tell you to GTFO

Yeah, your right the package car job does not require a lot of education, however it is a hard job with long hours to make 100k a year.

The company seems to think it's going to be easy to find replacement workers and that PVDs are going to deliver the packages, many of them will freak out when they see the picket lines at the larger hubs and leave or never return for day 2.

BtW the pilots are going to honor the strike and IAM mechanics are going to honor the strike as well. The whole unionized workforce will be behind this.
Of course the pilots and mechanics will honor the strike. They won’t have any work without the equipment breaking down or volume to fly

They might have a little trouble if their pilots don't fly like in 97

I hope you boys don’t get your hopes up that the Company will comply with Sean’s 48 hour demand tomorrow by submitting a completely revised set of economic proposals closer to the $60B that the Union is looking for; in fact, I would be surprised if they respond at all until after the 4th with numbers close to those I outlined above.
Thank you for sharing your wisdom. Are you still in shock that the company kept the doors open after you left?

I am surprised you did not try to tunnel your way into the building......
