UPS will be in Washington, D.C. next week ready to negotiate with the Teamsters on the National Master Agreement and the supplemental agreements.

Discussions around national negotiations and supplemental agreements often take place at the same time. We have bargained in good faith since the start and will continue to review and consider all proposals that are brought to the table.

We are committed to reaching an agreement that provides wins for our employees, the Teamsters, UPS and our customers. Taking care of our people and delivering for our customers is our top priority.

This is the official UPS statement on the contract out today… Lol.

Emphasis mine.

That statement about the order of local and national negotiations is what is revealing. The company wants to control how things are negotiated and O’Brien is not having it. Still time for UPS to take the red pill but clearly not interested right now.
PVD drivers and outsourcing our jobs is not acceptable.
It's not going to happen brother

You want a toe? I can get you a toe.
What supplement are you? We have a separate sick leave bank here we pull 8 hours from every day we call in sick...
The central has no sick days. It’s never really been an issue before. You call in when needed but don’t get paid. Over the last few years they have started moving to progressive discipline with a single call in. We had a guy call in for the first time in his 7 years here and he got a documented talk with.

Because of this there is no chance the central will pass without sick days.
