No it wasn’t. They would have caved. All he did was take the railworkers leverage away for years to come and the railroad knew it. They suckered him and took advantage of him and the situation he put the country in at the time. My point was he is supposed to be pro union, obviously he is not. All the RLA says is he is aloud to do it, it doesn’t say he has to do it. So now whenever the economy is bad, and it is bad regardless of what dems say, the railroad union will not have a leg to stand on, and the workers will get screwed. He didn’t have to do anything.
