New Video! Never getting a signature can cost you!

I teeter back and forth on it. I get mad at them for what they do but I also realize that it's a learned reaction. The harassment and petty discipline makes these guys feel like they have to perform or be attacked. It's hard to teach these poor guys how to grow a backbone.
"The Methods" during COVID, where drivers were permitted to sign in the presence of the consignee (albeit not exactly the same method-wise), also contributed to the development of these so-called bad habits and shortcuts.

....while many make the excuse "I was just trying to do the customer a favor".

Ultimately, these drivers fail to understand that the lady at 1234 Smith Rd isn't the customer, the entity who contracted the services of UPS and paid for these specific levels of service is (Apple, Verizon, Amazon, QVC, etc.), whether it be a commit time or in this case a signature at delivery.

In my area at least a half dozen drivers (mostly bonus babies) were discharged this year for dishonesty for this very thing.

Two of them went down at the Panel....and that's on them.

I never heard of a feeder driver being in a hurry. Usually if they went any slower, they would be going backwards.
You should see how fast some of these guys can move across the room for a hamburger that someone is grilling or a donut at the dispatch office. Go from fat boy to Carl Lewis in 3 seconds.

If there’s food involved feeder drivers can sniff it out! We had a breakfast for safety this week, my center is on the other side of the building from the feeder office, but somehow those guys figured it out and got in line to get breakfast! 😂

I have very little pity for these idiots who are in such a hurry, but they put their jobs in jeopardy and then act shocked when they get caught. Stop being in a hurry.
My friend knows a guy at a separate center and the story is that guy didn’t make contact with the customer, signed for their package and left it. Well of course the customer says that they never got it and ups gave this driver an ultimatum. You either pay the $20k or lose your job. Ups was kind enough to allow him to establish a payment plan that comes out of his check weekly.
