I did. I hated it. Plus the idea of starting over in seniority after being on top for so long did not appeal to me. I know someone that could have retired this year with a 35 year PT pension now has to work another 6 years to be eligible for a 25 year FT pension worth about the same amount.

Depends on the persons age when they retire. 6% reduction for every year under 65. The point being that going FT is not always the best choice depending on the persons age and how many years PT they have in.
