we drove across the street to an IHOP for breakfast. she tells me this and I hit the roof. she calls them right back and says she doesn't want (or need) her air filter replaced. They tell her it's too late, they have done it and they are almost done with the car. funny thing is, they don't call and tell us it's ready to pick up for 2 hours.

the car has 17,000 miles on it. The schedule doesnt call for it to be changed till 50,000 miles. That car has never seen a dusty or dirty road. Free oil change turns into a $57.57 dollar bill.

I got the receipt and a survey with the service managers name and phone number on it. I'll be ready to light into them by the time I sit here and stew about it another hour. lol.

the only time I even set foot in a dealership is to buy a car, warranty work, or free oil changes. my wife is naive. I thought she would know better. I guess not.

THAT's why I try to find people I know to work on my car, even if they don't use a torque wrench on the brakes. Lol. Dealerships are rip off artists, especially with women.
