WASHINGTON (AP) — Routine commercial use of small drones was cleared for takeoff by the Obama administration Tuesday, after years of struggling to write rules that would both protect public safety and free the benefits of a new technology.

The Federal Aviation Administration has created a new category of rules for drones weighing less than 55 pounds. The long-anticipated rules would mean drone operators would be able to fly without special permission.

Currently, commercial operators have to apply for a waiver from rules that govern manned aircraft, a process that can be time-consuming and expensive.

I have the strongest hatred for Prius drivers..... I don't even care about the car itself.....everyone I have ever been behind or next to ....suuuuuuuck as a driver

C'mon. I did a dealer trade for one last month.

Boring car, but not a bad ride once I figured it out.

I used to follow basketball a lot more when I was younger. Even went to quite a few games here in Houston. Was always amazed at Calvin Murphy. He sure played a lot bigger than 5'9"
