Hundreds of routes in Washington, Oregon, California and Idaho????My experience was reversed. Years of dispatching, peak plans, running centers at the 90-95% threshold. Driving brought hundreds of routes, sales leads, and personal contacts (both within ups and outside). Everyday it’s something new.
With just Orion alone there are a ton more safety hazards to the job and a different plan to fail everyday.
I meant sups leaving with only a few years in... saying friend it and walking...And they are definitely retiring on the first day they are eligible
I've seen that too.I meant sups leaving with only a few years in... saying friend it and walking...
Yep.... many of these old time sups would never be able to make it 30-40 years at this job if they had to start their careers right now.....@monkeyass..@dragonI've seen that too.
Oh yeah....I've seen that too.
They put a lot more hours in than they used to.Yep.... many of these old time sups would never be able to make it 30-40 years at this job if they had to start their careers right now.....@monkeyass..@dragon
Mgt isn’t worth it anymore.....They put a lot more hours in than they used to.
Especially without a pensionMgt isn’t worth it anymore.....
Cool it spankyThey put a lot more hours in than they used to.
And more money paid to healthcare.....Especially without a pension
Had an HR lady once that was a driver sup for a week I believe before she took a year of mental leave. And how many supervisors end up taking mental cacativac in the nut house?
Mental stress will kill you before working hard does.
Apparently it’s hard for my management team to even figure out.Either you or your Sups are poorly informed. Management hours are SALARY. One is never working for free. They get a SALARY regardless of the hours worked. It’s not difficult people
I wouldn't want that job.Had an HR lady once that was a driver sup for a week I believe before she took a year of mental leave.
I’ve had a number of on roads that were center manager before too. Said the pay wasn’t worth the stress.I wouldn't want that job.
My last on car was a center manager that had stepped downI’ve had a number of on roads that were center manager before too. Said the pay wasn’t worth the stress.
I’ve also had center manager that were really good on road sups that became total dicks as center manager because of all the stress.
The pension "enhancement" for those with a DOB post 1979 is a big factor, I think. There will be far fewer lifers. They put a lot more hours in than they used to.
She’s not the only one....and I keep hearing these mgt people throwing around the wordsbprofessional this and professional that..... BS!!!Had an HR lady once that was a driver sup for a week I believe before she took a year of mental leave.
Good good...My last on car was a center manager that had stepped down
And the grievances will pay the same if a sup or mgr were out delivering... right??Apparently it’s hard for my management team to even figure out.
Heard a driver sup talking about how dumb it was to have a center manager delivering packages instead of him because the center manager makes so much more.
Ummmm you’re both delivering packages for free as far as the company is concerned.
