More “convenient”, not so much. Everyone that has wanted one has purchased one.
Just saw where a Chinese company has started selling several EV models here for less than $15k. Don't have any idea what the quality is like. The article was from Electrek. They kept emphasizing that ICE vehicles won't be able to compete.

Would consider one as a novelty item, to use to run for groceries or even to work, where I live it’s not practical to rely on it as a sole mode of transportation.

I'm not in a position to buy anything on a whim. It has to be proven to work and be dependable. Haven't seen a full EV yet that I would trust in all conditions. Very much like hybrids, but not full EV's.

That’s an oxymoron there’s no such thing as PUBLIC transportation. It’s inconvenient, expensive, wasteful and dangerous
its extremely convenient if its accessible. for example i know some corgi owners who take it exclusively to and from work.

next winter im planning on taking public transit to a private bus which will take me up and down the mountain. i hope to just stay on my phone instead of driving for 40 minutes which is totally lame.
