Nobody wants public transport.
you are thinking of it as its current decrepid state. and i agree with that.

but if it was luxurious, safe, and free and you compare that to all the people wasting time stuck in their cars in rush hour in the matrix not to mention all the money you spend on cars....its no contest.

italy has hte right idea:

It could have seats made would gold It would still be public transportation. It’s inconvenient, costly to the cities, And in many cities, because of the geographical layout, it would not work well.
we gotta figure out something that works thats awesome. driving cars isnt cool and many people arent even allowed to do it.

There’s nothing cooler than driving a car. There’s nothing more lame than picking up a date and taking her on public transportation. You’re never gonna get laid.

And what communist country are you talking about that you are not allowed to have a car?

if you have health conditions you cant drive a car. i knew a hot girl she had siezures i think and she was hooped

when were on vacation we always took public transit. first vacation we did more taxis and it was way worse. sometimes we drove but only when necessary because its so dangerous and more money.

Public transport works in some places like big cities. Definitely not everywhere else.

try an imagine a world where its luxurious. try and imagine...
Public transportation is about moving as many people as possible economically. And hard plastics are used for a reason. Putting in plush seats is a waste of money because the constant wear would tear them up quickly. In all my years of listening to advocates argue for more public transportation you are the only person who has ever said it should be luxurious. We've gone over all of the negatives but it doesn't seem to register with you. You'll have to learn the hard way. The rest of us will continue to drive.

I used the public bus system in Seattle for a year. You can make it work, but it's a compromise. And that's a huge bus system. NYC is the only city in the U.S. that public transportation works for the majority.

the seats are already good enough on the local small buses.

Washington DC too if you are just visiting. Although their subway system is getting to be as bad as New Yorks.
