i dont think you understand the definition of genocide. it doesnt mean everyone is killed. just a large number. so 40,000 palestinians. its not that israel is a terrible shot, they are jewish supremacists.
And I don't think you understand the difference between war and genocide. War is fighting between two or more combatants. Civilians, non combatants, get killed in wars as collateral damage.
Genocide is the systematic destruction of a group with the intent to kill as many as possible so that they can never be a physical, political, or economic threat again to the group seeking their destruction. Often occurring between groups of different races, ethnicities, or religions.
At this point it's war between Hamas and Israel. If Israel goes into the refugee camps and starts shooting unarmed civilians then its a genocide.
There were an estimated 8 million Native Americans in what is now the lower 48 States when Europeans first arrived. It's estimated that about 90% died from diseases the Europeans brought with them that the natives had no natural immunity to. This was well documented by the early settlers who came upon village after village where everyone was either dead or gone. That's something you don't see in the movies. It wasn't intentional, was assumed at the time that God had cleared away the natives for them. The natives who survived fought wars with the settlers or they made peace and strove to get along. And yes treaty after treaty was broken by whites who saw the natives as heathen or inferior human beings. Not every white group was that way. Don't know if you are familiar with the Comanche, the very warlike group on the southern plains. They got along with German settlers in central Texas who sought peace with them. Other whites, not so much. The 5 "civilized" tribes in the Southeast greatly inter married with whites, many becoming Christians, and lived like whites. Didn't stop the Federal government from moving them to Oklahoma though. When they were marched to Oklahoma the troops could have just opened fire on them. That would've been genocide. Plenty died on the way from exhaustion and exposure to the elements. But I'm here today because it wasn't the government's plan to exterminate them.
Everyone wants to point fingers over everything and scream racism. You can't change what has already happened. You can only choose peace and cooperation going forward. And if others don't want that then you can defend yourself and your family. But this constant stirring the pot and never content to put the past behind us will only lead to more death and destruction.
