The contract is a sell out. I don't think people even wanted much either tbh. Which is kind of sad when you have low standards and those standards aren't even met.
My opinion is that the IBT could get a contract passed ASSP with 3 changes, top rate for 22.4’s ground delivery, 9.5 protection for ALL and 9.5 automatic payment. But, what do I know? I lost a local election and that means I know nothing.
I feel like the 9.5 stuff should be a minimum. It doesn't even cost UPS anything to do (unless they abuse their workers), so it should avoid the complaints that it would run the company into the ground or whatever they bitch about when people suggest things like a $15 starting wage instead of $13 or a minimum of $1 a year raises.
