Because it's coming. Be afraid, VERRYYYY AFRAID. LolPeak season? Why is this being brought up in July?
This is interestingly cool. The last 2 peak seasons, they've raffled off 47" televisions, bluetooth speakers, gift cards etc. for the people who show up for the voluntary Saturday and Sunday sorts in December. They must have been desperate. I never won of course, but the double time on Saturday for working 7 days in a row was easy money.
you get rewarded alright.......A fellow co-worker of mine mentioned that at his previous hub every peak season they'd give out all different kinds gift cards to the employees. I was curious if anybody's hub get rewarded anything useful during peak season?
nope at least not openly, there have been a few times i see sups "tip" their workers to get a ridiculous job done, mostly
in the preload where sups need 4 package cars loaded in 1 hour because the regular loader called in and they want to wait till
the last hour to make someone load them but that person gets "tipped" a $20 from a pt sup lol.
my favorite episode. even have the t-shirt.They used to give us hot soup after cold days and nights of delivering Christmas packages, but alas, after the cutbacks......
Like I said, peak never ends.
Why would you take an unpaid break?I had two lunches (one unpaid, the other paid) yesterday.

I was still .54 under.
Why would you take an unpaid break?
Nobody cares.....
Yet you felt compelled to reply....
I wish more drivers had the mindset that you do during peak. What's there to be afraid of. Its just another day/week. I can't work over 60 hours, and I take it one stop at a time.
