Missing my point. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it. My point is that because it is Chinese, it can cost less. American designed and engineered has to cost more because of significantly higher labor costs. Not sure why this needs explaining.
Aren't iPhones also made in China?

Your implication was that Chinese made products are generally inferior.

No it wasn't. I was strictly talking economics. An American branded company having China assemble products is different economics than a Chinese brand. A lot of highly paid Americans have to be paid at Apple.

3 done 3 to go

In control of own destiny
How do you surf the web at lunch?
How do you watch videos?
How do you listen to custom radio and music?
How do take 4K video and 16mp photos?
How do you call in a lunch order from a restaurant you haven't been to before and don't know the number or what is on the menu?
How do you reference something when it pops up in your head and you need to know about it?
How do you find out exactly where you are if you happened to get lost and there's no point of reference anywhere in which a paper map would help?
There's trillions of other functions but you get the idea.

Kindle at lunch.
videos at home on lap top
Only my truck radio
No photos
Eat lunch at same diner /same food
Wait for time on the lap top./most time how to fix a car or appliance
use gps (Garvin) better than phone any day

Trillions of things I may learn after I retire

Am I the only driver who brings his lunch?

Let's assume that you spend $10 per day at that diner. We work 20 days per month, on average, which means you are spending $200/month just on lunch.

I spend roughly 1/4 of that on lunch meat, buns, fruit and water for the month.

Boring! :)

You haven't used Google Maps, especially on a 5.5" Android phone, if you really thing Garmin is better.

Stand alone GPS devices are just preprogrammed navigation devices. Completely useless compared to what a smartphone can do with internet enabled abilities. Seriously, please explore it. It will become one of the most important tools of your life. Within it, it has all the information of every business, 360° views of every address, satellite imagery, voice control for everything, full info of your trip, and so much more.

All I have to do is tap the microphone and say "55 County" and Google Maps knows that I mean 55 County Rd. Anytown USA because that is the closest County Rd to me in Anytown.

I love how some of you think we're spending all kinds of time typing in full blown addresses. It literally takes 1 second to find and start navigation to an exact address we don't know. Paper maps on the other hand...

You are kind of cute. I don't know how old you are, but you were probably pre-school when we bought our first home computer.

Keep trying, sonny.

You gave a smart remark and I gave one back. "Yay" means you were sarcastically saying you weren't interested in what Google Maps can do, likely because you haven't used it. I doubt you had a PC in 1983.

I haven't even mentioned virtual reality that I'm thoroughly enjoying with my new phone and accompanying headset. What a brilliant experience. Can't do it without a 2016 flagship device unless you buy a very expensive PC connected headset.

Well, gee whiz. You're right. It was 1984 when we bought our Apple IIc. I guess you were starting kindergarten.

As for Google maps, I do, in fact use them often in my retirement job doing dealer trades and dealer buys for a local auto group. You know, the job I get paid to drive premium and better cars.

Keep on slugging it out at Parcel, and maybe someday you can get out.

Yeah, I've heard virtual porn is pretty intense.
