My sister had Beta and tried to argue how superior it was. Same mentality as the current Apple fans. I stuck with VHS.

Where are they now?

Beta was supposedly slightly superior quality (but little difference in reality) but what killed it was the odd length of the tapes. Plus JVC created and supported VHS and was able to make them cheaper.
