A quote from Benjamin Franklin about democracy, it can be "two wolves and a lamb voting on what’s for lunch.” People who live in LA and NYC who think that meat comes from a grocery store might not understand why this is such a big problem for the lamb.
When you think about it, every check on government power, from the Electoral College to the Bill of Rights, is a restraint on the majority.
The EC requires geographic balance and in doing that, helps protect Americans who might otherwise have their vote drowned out and flat out not count.
We all should value constitutional protections, which is what the Electoral College does.
The real purpose of government is to protect our individual rights. Giving the presidency to what a few big cities want will never do that.

Democrats are pushing for high schoolers to vote, prisoners as well. It’s a joke, I remember my teacher handing paper explaining all the good Castro did in Cuba, this was my government and history teacher in a red state. The overwhelming majority of my teachers were left wing and not very bright.

His biggest mistake was getting into bed with Russia - if he'd never done that, although he wasn't given a lot of options not to, he wouldn't have incurred the full weight of US economic power putting the stranglehold to his nation, and probably would've still been a hero to his people. Instead he became a cautionary tale and Cuba became a victim of cold war politics.
