You lie! Those were "mostly" peaceful protest

There is a fear that a trump loss will trigger a right wing insurrection. IED attacks, political assassinations.

where is this fear you speak of ? right now there are tax paying citizens in philly that have a fear of left wingers burning down their city. A fear that has previously been felt in spokane, portland, minneapolis, kinosha etc.

where is this bogey man you speak of that is burning down our cities and looting our stores?

Who do you think funds those subsidies? Why are you in favor of redistributing wealth to oil companies?

I always thought subsides were a fancy way of saying tax deductions or write offs? many being for legitimate business expenses
As such wealth redistribution would be a stretch

Oil companies get tax breaks no other company gets. They aren’t paying their fair share to society especially when we factor in the ecological harm they do. That provides the rest of us with fewer resources. Take from the poor to give to the wealthiest industry in human history, redistribution at its finest.

If 50 percent of the people pay no federal income tax how are we taking from the poor and giving to the wealthiest?

To utilize @bacha29’s logic, if you really have a problem with it, you should refuse to use any products resulting from those evil oil companies efforts.

Good luck with that.

Now that's funny ... I don't care who you are.

So Social Programs are like being 2 months pregnant?

And Socialism is like being 9 months pregnant?

Socialism is government control of the means of production. Social programs are welfare. Even socialism doesn't necessarily mean free stuff. Usually it means no stuff, which is also free.

Exploration and drilling by small firms is very expensive and risky. They get breaks to offset that. It's resulted in finding new sources and developing new technology to get at those sources. Has made us energy independent and greatly lowered fuel costs for average Americans. How anyone who runs a company that's totally dependent on fossil fuels can see that as a bad thing is beyond me, but you do you. There's absolutely no reason to not continue development of wind and solar power, or create electric vehicles that meet our needs. But until those technologies are viable alternatives that people can afford we have to have oil based energy. Why is that so hard for you?

The top 10% of earners pay 70% of income taxes and a small chunk of those revenues are used to keep gas and utility prices affordable. Ending subsidies for oil, coal and natural gas is effectively a tax on the working class.
Working Americans are sick of liberals telling them whats best and that is why the Proletariat is voting for Trump by a massive %.
In a free market society why do we have to subsidize private business. If they can't make it on their own then they shouldn't be in business. Had it with the corporate welfare.

Would you agree that Social Programs are more prevalent in Socialist countries than they are in Free Market/Capitalistic countries?
