If Cohen took that money its sleazy but probably not illegal. He had clients other than Trump and he promised access he couldn't deliver. Its those companies paying him that were foolish and throwing money away. No direct Russian connection. An American citizen having relatives in Russia is legal. Just another smear campaign in the press by Avenatti.
But how did Avenatti get Cohen's private records? Someone committed a felony leaking them. And as I pointed out if there was something illegal that connected to Trump, Mueller would've kept it for himself. Instead he referred the matter to the district court in Manhattan. Read an article on Politico today that said many of Trump's former aides have cashed in big time selling their "special knowledge" of how Trump operates. Some have registered as lobbyists, Cohen has not. If what he did amounted to lobbying and he didn't register he's in hot water for that although I don't know if it's a criminal matter. It may as you say just be a matter of companies wanting info and wrongly believing Cohen could get them that info for a price. Not illegal after all.

you play right into the libs hands here. This story just broke , its already unraveling . But you like the libs have accepted the little bit of the story that has so far been presented by a very selective liberal media. let it play out and it will slide down the wall with the rest of the crap they have thrown against it.

Maybe the problem is that it may not be illegal.

Sometimes the outrage seems misplaced. Why is the leak a felony but the horrible behavior that is “business as usual”?

I can definitely tell you they're not as bad as the liberal media tries to make them.

90 percent negative coverage in a time when the economy is smoking and americans are keeping more of their hard earned money.
