from the same article:
Top economic advisers warn against focusing too much on one measure of wage growth. Other metrics have shown stronger pay gains. The Atlanta Federal Reserve’s wage tracker, which does not take inflation into account, is showing 3.2 percent wage growth over the past year.

You deleted part of the quote, selectively removing the part that is actually relevant to the article.

Did you learn that in Trump University?

Rising prices have erased U.S. workers’ meager wage gains, the latest sign strong economic growth has not translated into greater prosperity for the middle and working classes.
Cost of living was up 2.9 percent from July 2017 to July 2018, the Labor Department reported Friday, an inflation rate that outstripped a 2.7 percent increase in wages over the same period. The average U.S. “real wage,” a federal measure of pay that takes inflation into account, fell to $10.76 an hour last month, 2 cents down from where it was a year ago.

In U.S., wage growth is being wiped out entirely by inflation

pop·u·list - a member or adherent of a political party seeking to represent the interests of ordinary people.

I think he is the most populist President we have have since FDR.
His desire to help the ordinary American, however, is tempered
by his belief that the best way to help the average American is to create
a business environment rich in employment and investment opportunities.
Oh. So he believes in trickle down. Shocking.

Why do you think this is occurring?

BTW - This is from The Washington Post so double check if this is important to you.

3.2% wage growth after decades of stagnation and business friendly policies is nothing to crow about.

Especially when it's wiped out by inflation.

Best thing about Obama was that he stayed out of the way of the economy for the most part and let Yellen do her job. It's bizarre to hear so called conservative Republicans crow about that.

The Fed influences the economy, doesn't control it. Put a stranglehold on business with unnecessary regulations like Obama did and the Fed is essentially cancelled out.

I thought the part that was relevant was 2.7 vs 3.2 on the growth side of things. The cost of living/inflation number remaining the same.

You just like to argue, express hate, and show hostility because Trump is your president and you just can't stand it. Really, it's going to be okay.:happy-very:

Really?
So explain why he deleted the middle of a sentence that pointed out the effects of inflation negate the wage increase. Which in case you missed it, was the entire point of the article....

It's in the freaking headline man, ttku.
