Price's 6th District House Seat in Georgia - Dems look to pick up this seat

It will be fine

If a person does not opt to buy insurance, they are electing to pay from their pocket or die.
That's not how the system works. People opt out of insurance and still receive care. The costs are then passed along to everyone that does pay.
I prefer to live in a society that doesn't wait for your check to clear before the paramedics stabilize you when you're having a heart attack.

I don't!
I'd rather die free ...
Than live in shackles!

Do you object to forcing drivers to get car insurance? The only difference I see is there is a chance you can drive your whole life and never cause an accident requiring insurance. No one gets through their whole life never seeing a doctor. People without insurance are just passing their risk onto everyone that is being responsible.

Not the best example. you can cause significant damage to someone else with a car . If you buy a car the finance company will be the one mandating the purchase of and levels of said insurance.

If you don't have health insurance you damage the entire system. People go into ERs and don't pay for it. The hospitals get that money by charging everyone else more.
You won't find an elected official that will advocate what Monkey Butt does, pay upfront or die. I think he is in the distinct minority in believing modern society should work that way. The mandate forces some level of personal responsibility. Everyone needs to pay into the system because everyone will use it.

I can chose not to buy car insurance by not having a car therefore everyone does not have to buy car insurance.

They can die wherever they choose.
yah but let's be real unless you suddenly strip away empathy and compassion from the human condition, they're really going to die in an ER which would cost 5x as much as if you just put them up in public housing and, you know, actually tried to help them integrate into society

There is a lot of talk that the House seat vacated by Tom Price will be picked up by the Democrats due to Trump backlash.

Democrat Jon Ossoff (D) currently has a lead in the polls.

I personally think Karen Handel (R) will win.

2012 Romney won over Obama by 20%
2016 Trump won by 1%

This is largely Suburban area.

You may remember her name from 2012:
Top Susan G. Komen official Karen Handel resigns
Ossoff got 48.1% so he will face Karen Handel in the runoff election June 20th.

yea he is done in the re vote
I agree, I still think Handel will win (not as sure however) as Ossoff did much better than expected.
I don't think the State and National Republican parties did not take Ossoff seriously. They will now.
Ossoff seemed to have at least a ten to one ratio of commercials on TV ... Note: this is a casual remembrance by myself.
