Price's 6th District House Seat in Georgia - Dems look to pick up this seat

I agree, I still think Handel will win but Ossoff did much better than expected.
I don't think the State and National Republican parties did not take Ossoff seriously.
Ossoff seemed to have at least a ten to one ratio of commercials on TV ... Note: this is a casual remembrance by myself.
there was like 30 republicans in the field

11 Repubs actually, 2 Indie, 5 Dems = 18 candidates

Ossoff had money coming in from everywhere ... Pelosi, Soros and Hollywood. That will not play well in this district.
He had 8.3 million that was known about which is 4 times more than all the other candidates put together.

in other words there was no reason it wasn't going to a run off, it was a wasted effort by dems and pointless

Geez ... the June 20th Runoff is two months away and the Dems and Repugs are running commercials heavy.
This will drive me crazy.

A 30 year old kid with no experience wouldn't have a chance without all that outside money helping him.
Exactly.
He grew up in the district through High School but no longer lives there (he's been working in Wash DC area but lives in East Atlanta) but will move there if he wins.

Jon Ossoff doesn't live in his district. That might be a problem. - CNNPolitics.com

Opponent Karen Handel -
"The people of this district want a congressman that they know, that they trust, someone who has a real track record," Handel told "New Day" Wednesday morning. "They're not interested in someone who doesn't even live in the district, someone who has a really thin resume and very lacking in experience."
He doesn't even live in the district! How could he possibly represent us!
It's worth noting here that a member of Congress doesn't have to live in the district they represent. Under federal law, you only have to live in the same state. In fact, as the Los Angeles Times documented in 2015, there are at least five California House members who don't live in the district they now represent in Congress.

I thought he lived with his girlfriend in the next district over? Or is he just using that as a convenient address while he really lives in DC?
