Quadruple time 9.5 penalty isn’t enough to deter the company. How much would it take?

A fair days work is under 9.5
As there is language that pays us beyond our fair days wage. We are required only ro provide a fair days work for fair days pay.

Can we grieve that specific clause?
One could argue that it is a breech of contract, as there have a payroll schedule for over 9.5 to include a panel to discuss receiving additional penalty pays.
That is not fair work.

Experienced ones, has that ever been the approach to a grievance? The fair days work for fair days pay?
I don’t mind working right up to 9.5 hours everyday. I can live on that. If I need extra money I volunteer on Saturdays. It’s nice seeing the kids during the week before bed.

It’s gonna have to be some kind of language for overtime per employee, and once it reaches a certain number, it comes up with some kind of number that we can obtain that is ironclad that they have to hire drivers at that point. Like say if the average driver three months works Over a 9 1/2 hour day they get excellent amount of jobs that are nonnegotiable.

that in some kind of language where any hours after nine hours a day are double time

I think in the next contract this will be the big fight! Maybe the hill that the union will threatened a strike over! 9.5 language that actually leaves no wiggle room for the company to abuse!

It is. I maintain that it’s a civil rights violation. Who are they to make me work forced overtime every day? Am I a slave?
