I think I found superballs on YouTube.

I'm going to say this as nice as I can in regards to you calling me a neo-nazi. You're a complete idiot. You guys have it in your minds that I sleep in a white robe and pointy cap, you really couldn't be more wrong, but friend it, think what you will.

Gotta run, there's a Klan meeting to get to

Annoy a liberal today. Hit them with facts.
You said "better educational opportunities". What you're talking about is free money, not the opportunity to go to college. Everyone has the opportunity to get a government backed student loan, or work their way through college.
So getting a loan to go to college is EQUAL to getting a scholarship in you mind?
Then why do we need minority only scholarships?

I think we all know who the racist is on this thread. :3

You want to know something most African Americans don't know about slavery? Most the slaves were bought from African tribe leaders by the English. Yes, Africans sold other Africans to the "White Devil" for commodities.

You need money to have the opportunity to go to college, so yes free money to use for college based on your race is not only racist, but it is also an educational opportunity.

Why doesn't this forum support spoilers? :(

When you use the N word it's all fair game. If you don't want to be labeled as a neo-nazi or a Klu Klux Klan member you should've thought about that before you posted that crap. Can't take it back now bro. Don't hide. Be who you are.

lol, just lol.

How does that destroy my argument?

One African tribe attacks another and enslaves the people to sell to Europeans for guns so they can attack another tribe and do it all over again? How is that different from my argument of Africans selling other Africans to Europeans for commodities?

That website is also a blog made by some random guy, do you believe everything you read on the internet? If I made a blog that said the Holocaust was made up and the Nazis didn't kill millions of Jews, would you believe it? Blogs aren't hard to make, anyone can do it.

Quotes from that blog.
"Africa was not a country. Africans were not selling “their own”, they were selling their enemies..."

No :censored2: Sherlock and guess what, it still isn't a country, it's a continent!
Also just because they were selling their enemies, that doesn't justify anything, they provided the goods for the Atlantic slave trade.

"Most African countries did not sell slaves and some even fought against it."
This is totally wrong, most of the major powers in Africa had a big role in supplying the slaves to sell to the Europeans. Yes, some of the countries did not accept slavery but apparently greed changed all that. Look at the Mossi Kingdoms, they fought against slavery and tried to forcefully take over key points of the trans-Saharan trade route, of course they failed and in the 1800's they actually changed their minds about slavery and started providing slaves for the Atlantic Slave trade.

"The Transatlantic slave trade was on a much greater scale than anything the Africans or anyone else ever did in the history of slavery. "
Well, this is some what true, but they provided most of the slaves for the Atlantic slave trade, how does that not make them involved?

"The Transatlantic slave trade was racist. The African slave trade, for all of its other ills, was not that."
How is this true? Yes, the Atlantic slave trade was racist but so was the slave trades in Africa. The Africans got their slaves from other African countries. Is it not racist because they are both African? Is it not racist for an English person to make fun of a German because they are both European? No, it was all racist, the Africans saw the tribes they conquered and enslaved as "inferior" to themselves.

"It uses what I call the Arab Trader argument: it excuses an evil of one’s own past by finding the same sort of evil done by others."
This whole blog is a contradiction based on this argument right here, he is stating that what Africans did during the Atlantic slave trade was not as bad as what the Europeans where doing. The Africans attacked and murdered other countries to get slaves to sell to the Europeans. What both sides did was immoral.

I just want to say that I am NOT trying to justify what happened back then, I am not racist and being born and raised in the great country of America, I believe every man, woman and child has basic rights. Slavery is wrong but I also believe people should have the right to facts and information.

-edit- Oh noes, I think I just fed the troll. :3

For the 17th time (give or take), that word does NOT mean a black person. It has an actual definition to describe a rude or ignorant person. So, (the word which shall not be written) can be white, black, asian, mexican, european. You guys CLEARLY think that it can only be considered a term to describe someone who is black.

Does using that word make you a racist?

Cmon bro.

You cant run fast enough to get away from using the word. Hey I get it.

Your a racist. I dont have a problem with that. Youre being honest. Now, to attempt to play symantics with the word only makes you look weak and feable.

You think you are being cute with the use of the NWORD, but in the context you used it in, well, its self defining.

Dont try so hard bro, its a label you cant escape from this point forward.

Do I think you wear a pointed hat and a white robe? NO, but if you could, I think you would.

Thats the difference.

TOS.

Lol, okay Upstate Jr. I'm a huge bigot, I only love white people! You got me.......haha.

Now, where the hell did I put my robe?

Yes, I do use the word when I believe it's warranted. Does the exclusive use of that word make one a racist? Answer that please, trollers

Inordinately Right
Then why do they exist if they are not needed?
Especially since everyone should be treated equal.
Because some people think we do need them.

I think they probably see it as a counter to perceived institutionalized racism and socioeconomic inequalities that disproportionately affect minorities. I see it as a form of reverse racism, and while well-intentioned and arguably a positive thing at one point in the not so distant past, it is an antiquated concept that should be phased out.

At the same time, even though I don't like them, private groups should have the right to give scholarships to whoever they want, and set the requirements for those scholarships as they see fit.

Absolutely. May not agree with the who, what, how of it but if they are acting in their own private capacity, using their own money, I got no beef and defend their right to do so.

Even if the requirements were race, gender or religious denomination specific?

Yep. As long as they do so in a purely private capacity and don't use the monopoly force of the State in compelling myself or others to take part in any way, I'm good. Free speech and free thought are paramount with me, even the stuff I completely disagree with. I'll even defend Moreluck's right to swim in the deepend as much as she wishes here in Current Events.
