It's all about context. When reading your post, it shows that you think the African American population can't think for themselves. That they are somehow brainwashed into voting for democrats. You even have the audacity to suggest they had no part in their freedom from slavery. That post clearly shows your ignorance and bigotry.

It's not only black people I am talking about.
I want all able bodied people eventually off of public assistance.

But the solution is not so black and white or cut and dry. There's so much that has to be invested into education, impoverished areas and good paying jobs, etc. before that will happen.

Just so you know I am not racist, I would cut off, after 2 years, all welfare, food stamps and public assisted housing subsidies for all able body people regardless of skin color. That would include the WHITE people also.

I think, if you wanted to be on welfare, you should have to give up your freedom. Maybe something similar to the prison system, except instead of being forced to go to prison like convicts are, you would be free to leave whenever, you would just lose your welfare benefits upon leaving.

Also there would be rules like allocated hours per week that you would be allowed to leave and job search, see family members or do other things like go to funerals and other things like that.

I think if we had a welfare system like this, less people would stay on the crutch that is welfare and actually work at improving their lives and careers.

The beloved OIL industry is about to start CUTTING jobs as they shut down oil fields and projects until the price per barrel goes back over 100 dollars.

As prices continue to fall, the OIL industry hedge is falling and oil companies unhappy with below record profits will begin to lay off workers in all states where the boom was once a fairy tale.

What do you determine as the difference between military and regular citizen?

We should be paying our military enough to feed their families without welfare.
Then again, everyone in the military knows the pay scale. Why are so many having children if th hey know they can't afford them?
I know, I was in the Army. The pay sucked. I would have never started a family while I served.

I checked my Social Security annual earnings report and the most I ever made while in the Air Force was right around $20K.

The lower enlisted do not get welfare-----they get food stamps.
