Do you think the Teamsters union is going to offer you an agreement reached with UPS with a $10 an hour starting raise and a $2.50 per year raise?
No I think the Teamsters are going to force the company to pay up. The Teamsters are running the show this time. We make thsee peeps 13B a year….Carol Tome makes 27M a year…...shareholders got a 50% raise…why do so many here feel sorry for the company when it comes to our pay. Our pay is embarrassing in the DC area. Seriously.…the only reason they can keep drivers here is because of the pension. We got nothing for our COVID efforts. You all need to start standing up for what your worth is and grow a set. We made $38 something an hr when the company made 6B. They have the $$$. They have so much $$$ they don’t know what to do with it. The company made 13B, Carol makes 27M shareholders got a 50% raise….and you don’t think you deserve a $10 hr raise for your efforts????

Even $4.2 an hour per year over 5 years would be decent. that would be like a 1-2% a year raise accounting for inflation At 8-9% per year.
You just yelled at me for having no nuts for asking you a question about $10 an hour instant raise, and now you’re backpedaling, come on man!!

You could make 70 dollars a hour and it wouldn’t alleviate your financial issues in that area. UPS isn’t the solution for that, you need more God fearing civil officials who don’t think they own everything and steal from everybody and tax the hell out of people etc..

I truly believe that is what we are worth. There are so many sups they could cut loose to pay for this it is not even funny. Really a good Center Manager, good PDS, good dispatch and good drivers takes care of 95% of problems. Throw a few pt sups in the mix to cover the other 5%. Most of the problems I see are when they start cutting out routes to meet some metric, driver who was already heavy is now slammed with splits, driver is disgruntled…now it’s 745 at night…driver needs his pickups brought in and still has 120 resi stops.

I agree that they will thin out management in the coming years as technology was put into place to eliminate them.

I think the goal should be $50 at the end of the contract, plus inflation adjustments. Year one $45. They also need to drastically redo progression. Year 3 is $11 an hour lower than top rate.
