And I'm coming back eventually. The reason I can is because I have options. Why do I have options? Because I worked hard for a long time instead of jumping from job to job looking for one that would make me rich with little effort. My pension is my option. Will allow me to pay off bills and get savings together. Literally millions of Americans living overseas now because their pensions and SS give them that option. That's the point of being an American. Hard work, savings, and at least a government pension gives you the option to choose how you want to live. Going overseas isn't horrible if you have enough income. Living like you do means you're stuck in the Great White North the rest of your life.

I don't have to flee. I flew from Orlando to Buenos Aires via Miami for $167. Because I hung in there with FedEx I have a benefit that lets me fly cheaply. I have options. No saving my pennies in hopes of fleeing someday out of the Great White North. I don't have to borrow to travel.
