OK, relax.

I'm not trying to bust you on anything, you seem paranoid.

Count 'em.
I guess I have a completely different definition of personal attacks. Was busting balls in my day, nothing personal attached to it. Might be the problem today, many take everything personally. Somebody looks at you wrong in traffic, shoot him,...he dissed me. Only an example, you've read of many yourself.
No paranoia, 2 or 3 mentions of tos by members to me and a reprimand by monkey.

I’m not the one that reprimanded you, and I asked you hit me, do your best.

Just don’t cuss is all.

The GOP tax plan got a triple whammy of brutal reviews

  • Three new analyses of the Senate's Tax Cuts and Jobs Act all delivered bad news for Republican leaders.
  • The Tax Policy Center found that more than 50% of Americans would see a tax increase in 2027 under the bill.
  • Only one out of 42 economists surveyed by the University of Chicago's Booth School of Business said the bill would increase economic growth substantially.
  • The Penn-Wharton Budget Model found that the bill would blow a big hole in the federal deficit.

So, there’s that.

This isn't bad news for republican leaders. It's exactly what they've wanted for years.

2027? 24 percent of the population is under 18 , therefore paying little to no taxes, take if up to the age of 35 and you're probably around 50 percent of the population that has not hit their maximum earning years and thus will likely be paying more taxes in 2027. its so easy to skew statistics to make something sound worse then it really is.

It is amazing to see how much policy does not matter to republican voters. Objectively, they want to give permanent tax cuts to corporations and the very wealthy and get rid of tax breaks that will raise the taxes on the poor, the working class, and the middle class all while raising the deficit. Even next year, about 10% of tax payers in the middle class will see a tax increase.

I still remember the whole purpose of the Taxed Enough Already party and republican voters in general during the Obama Presidency was focused on this single issue but now republican voters don't care about debt or deficits. There is zero outrage, zero concern from these voters. They don't care at all.

It is a thing I have observed for a long time about republican voters, they don't actually seem to care about specific policies and don't care about so called "conservatism" all that much.

One other thing that is very revealing about the dishonest politics at the heart of republican voters and republican elected officials, is when they complain about all the Americans who don't pay any income taxes.

You'd think Republicans would tout the number of Americans who don't pay income taxes with pride and say because of our party these Americans no longer pay income taxes because when republicans just like they are doing right now to promote their latest income tax cuts they say these income tax cuts are for ALL Americans, well if you keep cutting income taxes for all Americans, then fewer people will pay income taxes. This is just math

It will be fine

They are voting on a bill that is covered in handwritten notes that can't be entered into the record because they are illegible. Ah, welcome back regular order and conservative principles.

Cheers to Republicans for attempting to pass a tax bill that totally sucks, just so that they can pass something.

God, this bill sucks sucks sucks, for everyone, unless you’re in the one percent.

Any Trumpaloompa out there that thinks this tax bill is for you, you’re mistaken.

Trump can say whatever he wants, but he’s letting his voters down on this one.

But, yay, legislative success!

His voters are too stupid to realize he is bending them over and packing the fudge.....

It's funny that dido and I both think this is funny.
That is the reason it is funny to me.

And yet, the ACA was debated for a full year, with public hearings, Republican amendments, etc.

This nonsense they're trying to pass?

Nothing of the sort or kind.
