Republican Rewrite of US Taxcode

Lower government spending, see what happens to deficits then.

But they didn't lower government spending. And side note the most popular programs with republican voters are the largest and most expensive government programs. republican voters don't want to cut military spending, or medicare spending or social security spending or Medicaid spending. You add those 4 programs with paying interest on the debt, that's 70% of the federal budget.

So, they didn't lower spending, which means the deficit will increase, which means the debt will increase and to pay for that in the bill they raise nearly everyone's taxes in a few years.

Was a statement, the only honest response would be..... correct. It was apolitical, a simple statement of fact.

That's not the response I wanted to post. They didn't cut spending, so by their design this tax cut raises the deficit, that's objective reality. By design to pay for that, they raise everyone else's taxes in a few years. Also a fact, republican voters don't actually want the federal government to cut spending on the largest government programs that consume nearly the whole budget.

You care nothing about deficits unless the opposing party is in power.

mantains the highest individual tax rate with a lot less options to deduct.
Are you serious?

You think Trump gets his money from income? Ok believe whatever you want. Either you want to know or you don't. It isn't hard to find how these tax cuts benefit Trump.

The tax cuts were meant to aid corporations and specific kinds of corporations, Trump owns one such corporation, these tax cuts will help him a lot financially.

Deflect and dodge. That's all you hypocrites can do.
The apples tasted great when you the leftists did it, now for some unknown reason they taste rotten to to the leftists. Same process different taste. As the grand high obama said, "Elections have consequences." Your boy, his words, choke on them.

All these hypocrites can do is blabber about Obama. They always refuse to own up to their actions.

8 years of complaining about debt. Now they love it. What a bunch of cuckservatives.

If you don't care about deficits, why mention them?

Because republicans howl about them whenever a Democrat is president and lie and pretend they care, and then when a republican is president, they go silent. It's pointing out a theme that most republican voters don't care about policy and that is not why most republicans voters identify as republicans.

Related theme republicans talk about a lot of policies that they don't care about and will drop easily.

Best example the Iraq War, republicans defending that War for over a decade, then Trump comes along and takes the Democratic party's position that the war was a mistake from the start and should have never been fought, and all of a sudden, no republicans defend the Iraq War anymore, Trump crapped all over their bs justifications for the War using text book Democratic talking points, and they didn't care.

I don't love debt, that's why I said cut government spending and see what happens to deficits.

So it's all political to you, you have no rudder.

But they didn't cut spending. The tax cut bill by design raises the debt. This is what it does. This is not in dispute.

If you don't love debt then you can't love this bill. Or maybe you care about something else besides the debt, and if that's the case when others craft bills why cry and yell about the debt then? If we can increase the debt in service of tax cuts, why not for other priorities? That's a consistent position.

Not this phony republican position that oh the debt is going to swallow the future we can't take anymore debt, oh accept for tax cuts for the wealthy.
