Republican Rewrite of US Taxcode

So it's all political to you, you have no rudder.

No, its all political to republicans. I don't care about the debt right now. Politics would be demanding that they don't raise the debt. I am not doing that.

I am pointing out that republicans lie and say they do care. They yell and cry about how the debt is robbing the children and the future, but then in service of tax cuts for the wealthy, increasing the debt is worth it.

My position is republicans don't care about policy, they lie a lot about what policies they support and why they support those policies, and this debt stuff is the latest example.

But they didn't cut spending. The tax cut bill by design raises the debt. This is what it does. This is not in dispute.

If you don't love debt then you can't love this bill. Or maybe you care about something else besides the debt, and if that's the case when others craft bills and why cry and t yell about the debt then? If we can increase the debt in service of tax cuts, why not for other priorities? That's a consistent position.

Not this phony republican position that oh the debt is going to swallow the future we can't take anymore debt, oh accept for tax cuts for the wealthy.
Are you sure?

Should government spending be cut?

mantains the highest individual tax rate with a lot less options to deduct.

Lulz.

You either don't know how Trump makes his money or you don't know what's in the bill.

If this tax 'reform' passes into law in any fashion close to the House/Senate versions, Trump wins, BIG LEAGUE.

The repeal of the estate tax alone is worth it for Trump, he could resign the day after this nonsense becomes law and he'd come out a winner.

So basically, Trump is flat-out lying, once again, and you're just repeating his lies.

I like it that you think this is a win - you're so enamored with our demented President that, even though you will likely suffer from this tax bill, you're just so happy that he finally got a win.

Hilarious.

Are you really this stupid? I

Should government spending be cut?

I don't care about government spending in some abstract sense. If you have specific programs then list them.

Now the question, I ask if you or republicans hate the debt, then how can you support a tax cut bill that creates more debt by design?

If you believe cutting taxes is more important than the increasing the debt, my question is why be inconsistent when others craft bills that they believe to be more important than increasing the debt.

Instead republicans lie and cry and whine and say we can't increase the debt its robbing the future as if not increasing the debt is their top priority. This is an inconsistent position and dishonest.

A Historic Tax Heist

...For his part, Mr. Trump has repeatedly asserted with a straight face that the tax bill would hurt him. In fact, it will give him and his family a windfall. That’s because the Senate bill will provide a generous tax break for income that people earn through limited liability corporations, partnerships and other so-called pass-through businesses that do not pay taxes before passing on profits to owners. Under the Senate bill, the president will be able to claim a 23 percent deduction on profits he earns through his more than 500 pass-through businesses...
