Hello Center, this is blob I seem to have taken some gunfire.

Center team: it’s just the cargo area, keep going and be sure to follow Orion and stay hydrated.

The UPS driver was standing his ground.
Fortunately I had the high ground. He was a shorter guy so his face lined up nicely with my boot. I was going to use the handrail as leverage to give him the hardest kick I could. Next time you’re in your truck, stand in the cab, grab the rail and imagine how hard you could stomp someone standing in the doorway.

Physically assaulting a customer causing injury is never going to look good at your termination hearing.

Had no idea what rivian had to look it up…….who the hell would drive that thing lol
They had a long waiting list and people paid 10's of thousands over sticker for them for the first 2 years. For a truck that is already 6-figures.
Well it is the most powerful truck ever made outside of the 1,000 HP Hummer EV and of course the fastest. 835 HP, 908 lb/ft of torque (quad motor). 0-60 in 3 seconds. This ain't no Prius.

That’s more than a ford duelly platinum edition. The more expensive usually means the more attitude the driver has
I’m glad I’m in the sticks. Stressful enough with tourist roaming around.
Be safe out there and avoid the lunatics.

He wasn’t a customer, he was a maniac that had me cornered. I tried to drive around him (again) but there was too much traffic in the left lane and I couldn’t reverse because there was a car right on my ass. When he first approached my driver side I shut the door and stayed in my seat. It wasn’t until he booked it toward my passenger side (door was open) that I had to act quickly. I wouldn’t even have time to shut the truck off and hide behind the bulkhead door, as soon as I stood up he was right at the bottom of my steps. So I decided to take the initiative and stand my ground. It worked, he backed down. There was no violence.

I’ll try to keep this as short as possible but a lot happened in a very short time.

Had this idiot in a Rivian cut me off today, I was so close to rear ending him that I heard packages slam against my bulkhead door when I hit the brakes. Naturally I laid on the horn. What’s this idiot do? Accelerate about 30 feet then try to brake check me, only problem was I was pretty much at a dead stop. I switched to the right lane to try and get around him but he cut me off again and brake checked me. I yelled as loud as I could, “What the * are you doing?” His windows were down so I knew he heard me.

This dude gets out of his car, truck, whatever the hell it is and walks up to me on the driver‘s side door. I closed the door so he stopped, starts pointing at me and says “You want some of this?” (with a lot of curse words and insults) I told him to get back in his vehicle. He doesn’t, instead he starts walking toward my passenger side. Red faced, cursing, very erratic behavior.

Now I’m thinking this guy is insane so I put my truck in park, unbuckled and stood at the top of the steps. One hand on railing with my right leg cocked back as he approaches the open door. I didn’t even hear what he was saying because my adrenaline was pumping so hard. In the most aggressive tone I could muster I screamed, “GET BACK IN YOUR VEHICLE OR I WILL KICK YOUR * TEETH IN!” At this point he is standing with one foot at the bottom step of the package car. He pauses, likely realizing the disadvantage he’s in and backed off.

“Ooooh you gonna threaten me you ***** I’m calling the cops!“ Pulls his phone out and takes a picture of the license plate, all while crying about getting me fired and filing a lawsuit. After a minute long meltdown he finally gets back in his stupid car/truck/whatever and drives off. This was on a two lane road, so during the entire altercation vehicles were struggling to get by becsuse we were blocking the right lane. I called my sup as soon as possible and told him about it. He said, “was there any physical violence?“ I said no and he says, “Okay you should be fine, we will deal with it if someone calls in. It’s probably some lunatic, so forget about it.” I also called my shop steward to give him a heads up. He made me feel a little better with his own road rage story that was even more heated.

Anyway, that was my day today. I’ve never had anything like this happen to me. There is a good chance this dude was on drugs, his behavior was out of control. When he set his foot on the bottom step for a couple seconds I pulled my foot back ready to kick him with everything I had. My inner voice was saying, “DO IT! DO IT NOW!” Luckily he backed off. In that moment I could have easily broke that guy‘s jaw, and most likely lost my job in the process.

Have any of you guys been involved in road rage incidents, or am I a nutcase? I don‘t even know right now. I need a little comfort right now, not gonna lie.

That was from the Miami-Dade police when they murdered that guy.
His name was Frank Ordonez. He put in over four years working inside part time until he finally won a bid and was just a week into his 30 day packet when he was killed. So you know he was working hard just trying to qualify, only for this to happen to him. Frank was only 27 years old, he left behind a 1 year old daughter because of trigger happy cops. Never forget about Frank Ordonez, what happened to him could happen to any one of us.

I was freaked out when a little yuppy jumped out of his Rivian and came at me. I couldn’t even imagine getting carjacked at gunpoint and forced into the situation he was in. Our brother must’ve been terrified.

They fool you on that one sir. We are stalling our replacement number of ~1.6 Look up Japans replacement number. They are screwed unless they allow immigration. I used to think the same way then I studied. We need cheap labor because we don’t manufacture, just consume. They play a game to fake you. Without them inflation would be way higher. Illegals subsidize our social security believe it or not.
(New immigrants entering the workforce help support Social Security by ensuring that the labor force, and thereby the payroll tax base and old-age dependency ratio, does not shrink in the face of these declining labor force participation rates.) 🧠

I had a guy follow me to the center (I was only a half mile away) when he got pissed because the truck revved up when he got in the turn lane and I passed him. He was fuming. I told him that it's an automatic and it weighs a lot and his turn was on a steep hill so the truck had to downshift just to maintain the same speed. It was just odd timing, not malicious. He apologized, but little things can really set people off.

Also, never honk at someone because you're pissed at them for their actions (when in uniform). Save the horn for someone who might hit you. Nothing good can come from honking at someone who has already passed you.

The problem with that theory is that every poor dude who just wants to mow lawns or hang drywall to have a better life for his kids, was already here 10 years ago. There’s nothing left but criminals and parasites.

No true at all. This is NOT a theory. Prices are cooking here We need the labor, and without them, our downfall will be even faster.
