The deal today is to fund the government till Feb 8. DACA expires March 5. They don't have 6 months.

the orginal deadline was set 6 months ago, in the end trump will get the wall and daca people will get a pathway, with restrictions on chain migration and visa lottery

Maybe they think they can hold out past then. I mean if they don't get it done--again--Schumer points to yet another instance where Trump and the republicans can't be trusted.
Steven Miller might want to see mass deportations of people who have never lived anywhere in their adult lives but the US, but I don't think very many people share that idea.
Personally I find Miller abhorrent and one of the few people in the world I would be pleased to see violence done upon.
